The Pensacola Ice Flyers announced their opening day roster for the 2012-13 season in front of a capacity crowd at New York Nick's on Wednesday evening.

Out of 80 players coming through the Ice Flyers' free-agent and training camps, head coach Gary Graham has finally trimmed down the main roster to only 18 players. These players will start the season off on the road on Friday, Oct. 26 in Columbus and then on Saturday, Oct. 27, they will play the Mississippi Surge. The Ice Flyers' home opening weekend will be Friday, Nov. 2 and Saturday, Nov. 3 on Tom Thumb Ice at the Pensacola Bay Center. Both game times are at 7:05 p.m. Fans can drop off food donations at both home games in support of Manna Food Pantries. With a donation, they can enter to win a team-autographed jersey for each game.
